Nerve Conduction and EMG Testing

A NCS/EMG exam is often ordered to evaluate for nerve damage as it relates to “pinched” nerves in the neck or low back, as well as peripheral entrapments like carpal tunnel syndrome. Other reasons to order an exam is to evaluate neuropathies of the feet and hands that often occur with diabetes.

The exam is performed in the office and usually takes about 30 minutes.
